Ambassador Seymur Mardaliyev met with the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko

Azerbaijan contributes to the energy security of both Ukraine and Europe.

As AZERTAC reports, this opinion was expressed by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine, Seymur Mardaliyev at the meeting with the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushenko.

Ambassador recalled that in mid-July, President Ilham Aliyev signed Decree in order to allocate 7.6 million US dollars to the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Preparation is now underway. Equipment for the restoration of distribution networks is planned to be transferred to Ukraine in the near future.

During the meeting, assistance to the energy sector of Ukraine and deepening of cooperation in the oil and gas complex were discussed.

H.Halushchenko noted that Ukraine highly values energy cooperation with Azerbaijan and hopes that this cooperation will intensify.

Minister thanked Azerbaijan for supporting the energy sector of Ukraine. He noted that this support helped preserve Ukraine's energy system, especially last winter.
